DESCRIPTION:Directed by Oliver Gray \nSet on board the warship HMS Pinafore\, the opera cheerfully mocks such Great British institutions as Class\, Patriotism and the Royal Navy.  Josephine\, the captain’s daughter\, is in love with Ralph\, a common sailor\, but her father wants her to marry Sir Joseph Porter\, First Lord of the Admiralty.  The couple are caught as they elope from the ship and Ralph is locked in the ship’s dungeon.  Only when certain revelations are made by Buttercup\, a dockside vendor\, can everyone end up freely marrying their true hearts’ loves. \n\nThis wonderful comic opera gets the complete Illyria treatment\, faithfully performed by a reduced cast on the beautiful nautical set \n\nNow in its 29th year\, Illyria has delighted audiences the length and breadth of the UK\, and in the Netherlands\, Germany\, Switzerland\, France\, the United States and Canada performing some of the most well-loved productions on offer. DESCRIPTION:Coleman and Hodges present an evocative\, interactive installation of images and sound from a collective capturing of time and place. Over winter\, Moray residents installed pinhole cameras in their houses and gardens\, each of which took a single\, long exposure image over four months. \nThese beautiful images capture both the landscape and the sun’s journey across the sky as the Earth turns\, a reminder that everything we see\, however still or monumental\, is in motion\, both through space and time. The ‘solargraph’ images act as a communal capturing of time and place and the accompanying audio of participants thoughts and feelings during that time form a powerful evocative memory.
